Before installation, it is essential to verify parameters in site as per Pre-start check list.
The conventional way of fixing timber door frames into the wall is by setting the frame into the civil masonry using anchor fasteners, hold fasteners or anchor bolts.
The latest installation technology is Polyurethane Foam fixing. The main advantage is that the factory finished door sets can be brought in at the last stage of construction activity i.e after plastering and one coat of paint.
The door frame is fixed with anchor fasteners or bolts and then the PU foam is applied between the wall opening and frame. Setting takes 60 minutes and the foam sets rock solid.Shutters are then hung using 3 or 4 hinges depending on the weight of the shutter.Unfinished door sets may be painted and stained at site .For best results acrylic or alkyl based enamel paints are recommended. Alternatively, for staining use only PU lacquer. Also allow 8 - 10 hours after each coat of paint/stain. The choice of hardware such as Hinges, Aldrop, Tower bolt, Locks, Handle, Door closer etc., are also important considerations for the proper function and aesthetic look of door sets.
